I can't believe it....yet another year has flown by and a new one is just around the corner. This year was probably one of the most eventful years in quite some time.
Probably two of the most exciting things that happened this year were the marriage of Nate and Korri... as well as the birth of my little niece Amber Ellen :) She is such a joy!! Nate has fallen head over heals for his little girl and so have we. She is now 6 months old and growing like crazy :) I love being an Auntie!
I bought my first condo back in April--a little 2bdrm/2baths in one of my favorite little parts of town! It was one of the most nerve-racking..yet exciting moments in my life. Taking on a mortgage and realizing San Diego was where I wanted to stay was completely life changing...I realized I was really growing up. I love my home-- it is cozy and just perfect for the life I lead-- my neighbors are awesome and I couldn't be happier!
Let's see...this year has also seen an interesting twist of events...one of what seemed like my biggest heartbreaks turned into my biggest treasure...Brad and I started dating back in April and I can honestly say I have been incredibly blessed with one of the most caring...affectionate...and honorable fella's around. A lot of exciting things lie ahead and we look forward to sharing them with you. Right now Brad is traveling a lot-- but we hope is settles down within the next year...luckily one of the perks with him traveling entail me getting to tote along with him :) This month we embarked on a trip to NYC and had an incredible time! I love New York and I can't wait to go back...we have our eyes set on traveling to D.C shortly...and possibly up to Washington and Oregon as well.
My job is my job.... I love it most days...I stress out about it often...and well...go figure... I teach in one of the most chaotic school districts in this state. Each day is an adventure...each year adds its responsibilities... I swear.. I will go gray early because of this job I love so much. My class is pretty good this year--chatty as can be...but overall they rank high among my experiences. The people I work with are great-- I still love em...we're just burnt out with all the transitions at the change that takes place on a yearly basis...we definitely entertain each other with stories on a weekly basis.
All in all life is great and I am truly blessed. Hopefully I can keep up with blogging and posting updates-- we shall see!
